What To Expect

If this if your first time at RBC...

We are happy for you to join us as our guest. We know how it feels to visit a church for the first time. So here is some information to introduce you to us.

A Friendly Atmosphere

Our people are friendly and welcoming. We want you to feel at home. If you have any questions about us – just ask. We’re happy to answer your questions.

Preaching

The emphasis of our services is the Word of God and so the preaching will be directly from the Scripture. Bring your Bible (if you have one) or you can use the Bibles that are available in the church auditorium (You can check out our services and preaching online here).

Music

Our focus is to worship God in a manner that is honoring to Him, including our music. We sing hymns and Gospel songs (all out of a hymnbook!) to the accompaniment of piano and organ (and occasionally a trombone!). Our goal in music is to bring glory to God and to edify our hearts.

Offering

At some point during the service, we will worship and support the work of the Lord with our freewill tithes and offerings. Visitors are welcome to participate, but are not expected to do so.

What to wear

Although we do not want our dress to be of major concern, most of our people wear what you might call “business” or “business casual” (the pastor generally wears a suit and tie on Sunday). But we want you to be comfortable with us and not so concerned with what you are wearing. No one will embarrass you with what you are wearing.

Childcare

If you have children, we have Sunday Bible classes for them during the morning Bible Study time (9:30 – 10:00 a.m.). During the worship services (10:45 a.m. – Noon and 2:00 – 3:00 p.m.) we have a safe and enjoyable area for little ones (generally infant to 4 years) with qualified adult supervision. However, many of our families choose to keep their children with them during the services, and you are more than welcome to do so.
